Patient population

Norway has a population of approximately 5.3 million people and the incidence of new cancers diagnosed in 2016 was 32 827. Oslo University Hospital treats more than 50% of Norway’s population. In addition, patients from all over Norway are referred to the CRU.

The CRU also accepts patient referrals from other Nordic countries. For more information, see Cooperation.
